Look here is another one. I learned from Yuko that mixing Starmie with anything yields some creepy and compelling stuff.
Sixty-three hours left to preorder our new art books, and still going up! Thanks you guysss

Look I did one of the Pokemon Fusions. I have drawn a couple more and will roll them out shortly… I kind of find the dumb-looking ones more compelling than the cool-looking ones.
69 hours left on the Kickstarter for our new art books, by the way.
these are all done with brush pens— 3 gray and one black. next up are my favorites!
It’s a Venusaur. Started doing these as a little side thing. I will only reblog the best ones to this blog I promise!

I’m one of 151 artists participating in Pokémon Battle Royale, and this is my Kabuto. Kind of fun to draw a dude I’ve never used in the game and haven’t really thought about in years. I had a lot of fun doing that pixel border thing.

If you do not care about Pokemon, I am sorry for drawing so many Pokemon. Drawings of other things will happen soon.
I drew this after starting Pokemon White and it’s been sitting on the computer waiting to be colored since then. I like naming them dumb stuff. I’m pretty far in the game at this point and very impressed by it!! I love how weird so many of the designs are, and the storytelling in this one is much smoother and more interesting than any of the older games for sure.
Also I’ve recently put all of my worldbuilding-related posts up at Making Places. I’ll be using that blog for that kind of writing in future, and am accepting submissions of relevant material. I’d like to keep this blog more art-focused than it has been in recent months.

Against my better judgment I bought Pokemon white and have started playing it. Started with this guy.

Yuko drew Pokémon and since I will use literally any excuse I can find to draw Pokémon, I drew some too. These are my favorites from the first three generations, which are the only ones I have played because I am NOT a NERD.
Charizard is the best because he is a dragon and does fire stuff. I like how his design reflects an older, simpler design philosophy, before they all started to look weird. Though I love some of the weirder ones later on. I almost always started with the fire-type because they are the coolest, and few things in life are as satisfying as a Charmeleon evolving into a Charizard. Few things? Nothing. Nothing in life is that satisfying.
Ampharos is some weird dragon-thing that evolves from sheep. What? It is electric-type and I guess pretty capable? I don’t remember. I used one in Silver and liked it, mostly because it was a cool-looking dude that was formerly a sheep. It was really frustrating fighting with the two lame sheep-looking dudes before it evolves into Ampharos.
Torkoal is a big tough turtle guy with fire inside of him. I had one when I played Ruby only like a year ago? I like him because he is adorable and also has pretty badass moves.
I SOUND LIKE A TEN YEAR OLD.
