Do your pronunciation conventions span comics? Does it vary by culture (like would the Surin pronounce J one way and the Sahtans some other way?) For example how is Junti's name pronounced? or Maquin? And would you tend to use those letters pronounced the same way across comics or do you deliberately change the conventions to suit the different worlds? Do you speak any other languages? Have you ever considered including pronunciations for names in the character guides? I love all your work!!

I generally don’t like considering anything about the comics “real” aside from the texts themselves, so I resist making any statements about Correct pronunciations or interpretations. But in my head: I think of each culture having its own pronunciation conventions, the Surin “J” is a fricative not an affricate, Maquin is MaKEEN as in spanish, and first syllable of Vattu is stressed and rhymes with bat.
